Terms and Conditions

 

THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS REFER TO CUCINA VALENTINA LLP.
(& ANY VENUES THAT MAY BE USED BY CUCINA VALENTINA LLP.)
HEREIN AFTER CALLED ‘THE COMPANY’ GIVES NOTICE THAT:-

  1. All arrangements are made subject to the following terms and conditions and the signature on the booking form of the client or the authorised representative signifies acceptance of and agreement to be bound by these conditions.
  2. For culinary adventures abroad, a non-refundable deposit of £250 per person is payable at the time of booking which will not be accepted without such a deposit being made. However, we will hold a provisional booking without payment for five working days only.
  3. For culinary adventures abroad, the balance is payable 8 weeks prior before departure. If the balance remains unpaid at the time, the Company reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain any deposits paid in respect thereof.
  4. For culinary adventures abroad, cancellation must be made in writing to the Company and must be made by the person who signed the booking form. Any such notice will become effective from the date of receipt by the Company. Cancellation charges will be levied as:

      o Up to 56 days prior to departure £250 payable per person
      o 55 – 32 days prior to departure date 60% course price payable
      o 31 days or less prior to departure 100% course price payable
  5. The company cannot accept responsibility for any cancellations or effects on your course due to war, threat of war, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire or adverse and extreme weather conditions that result in the cessation of schedule activities.
  6. The Company reserves the right to withdraw or modify at any time the arrangements/programme as advertised by the Company. In circumstance where we are unable to provide the course booked, we will return to you all monies paid to the Company or offer an alternative course.
  7. We have taken all reasonable and proper steps to ensure that proper arrangements have been made for the courses the featured: that the suppliers of the various services that will be provided are efficient, safe and reputable. We have no direct control over the provision of services to clients’ providers.
  8. For culinary adventures abroad, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the necessary insurance, passports, visa and travelling documents.
  9. For culinary adventures abroad, we are unable to take a booking unless you take out holiday insurance and provide us with sufficient proof that you have adequate insurance cover before the date of departure. Insurance should cover full medical expenses, personal baggage, personal accident, accidental loss or damage to property, third party liability, legal expenses and emergency.
  10. In the interest of both hygiene and safety you are advised to wear appropriate clothing, including low-heeled non-slip shoes, long sleeves and trousers or reasonable long skirts in the kitchen at all times.
  11. For culinary adventures abroad, we do not take responsibility for luggage lost in transit whilst the responsibility of the airline. Where possible we will provide advice and assistance in seeking to retrieve any luggage lost. This may incur a charge.
  12. The accommodation advertised can, on some occasions, be a private dwelling and does not fall under local hotel regulations. The property has standard third party liability for the duration of our stay
  13. This contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions which are governed by English law and both parties shall submit to the jurisdiction of English courts at all times.
  14. If any client should suffer death, illness or injury while overseas or in the UK arising out of activity that does not form part of the course/class arrangement; the Company will not take responsibility, nor will pay compensation.
  15. The Company is not responsible for guests’ valuables.
  16. All courses are subject to a minimum number of bookings and we therefore reserve the right to cancel and in this event we will return all monies, which you have paid to the Company only. For culinary adventures abroad, the Company bears no responsibility for flights and the Company is not responsible for any refund on flights due to course cancellation. Early booking of flights before final confirmation that the course abroad will run is entirely at own risk.
  17. The Company accepts no responsibility for any problems arising from encounters with local insects such as mosquitoes, or local wildlife, such as lizards. Naturally, we shall make every effort to protect our clients at all times, given the rural setting in which they will find themselves.
